These spellings will be tested on Friday 5th March.
They are called ‘Alternative ‘o’ words’ on Spelling Shed.
I shall also be looking at the leader board on Friday morning and rewarding the top 3 on it with Dojo points. Everyone who goes on Spelling Shed will receive a Dojo for each day they have played.
You should have received your password for this site but if you have not, please email me for the login details on caroline.bagshaw@taw.org.uk.
We were 2nd in the whole school for spelling practise! Let’s see if we can be top when we next week! Fingers crossed!
Special mention should go to Millie, Ezriyan, Ruby M, Darcey, Ember and Stanley who have been on every day this week (Monday to Thursday). I am super impressed with how much practice you do.
I would also like to say a massive ‘Thank you’ to all the parents and carers for all your support with the practising of the spellings – you are amazing!
Here are the tasks that I would like you to complete today.
You do not need to print all the sheets out and can just write the answers on paper or in a notebook. If you would like an exercise book, please email me caroline.bagshaw@taw.org.uk and I will arrange for some to be left in the office for you to collect.
Let’s begin Friday as we would normally would in school!
Spelling Test
You can either listen to the PowerPoint where I will test you on your ‘i’ spellings or you can ask a grown-up to test you using the list below.
Today, we are going to be looking at where our food comes from.
For the first part of the lesson, you will need to listen to the song ‘Cauliflowers Fluffy’ and listen carefully to the fruit and vegetables mentioned. You could even write these down on a piece of paper!
Now, I would like for you to have a look at any of the fruit and vegetables you have at home! With someone in your house, discuss what they look and feel like. Once you have done this, have a go at sorting them into those that grow above the ground and those that grow below the ground.
As we usually would on a Friday, I would like you all to have some golden time – you deserve it! That goes for you parents too!
You can choose an activity that you enjoy doing – make sure you are having fun and doing something that you enjoy!
Teams Talk – 2.45pm
Miss Baggott and I are really looking forward to seeing you all this afternoon! As Miss Baggott is in school with the critical worker children, I will be leading the Teams Talks this week!
Today, we are going to play ‘Bingo’.
Please can you draw a 4 x 4 grid on a piece of paper and write a number in each square choosing from the numbers 1 – 20.
I will call out and show numbers and if you have the number on your grid, you cross it out. The first person to cross out all their numbers is the winner!
There are many things you can do with your work when you are complete. You can take a picture and upload the file onto the blog, or you can send it to myself via email – caroline.bagshaw@taw.org.uk
Please remember to add your comments to the blog and make sure that you are playing the games on Numbots and Spelling Shed daily. There is a page entitled ‘Home Learning Expectations’ which sets out what you are required to be doing each day.
In accordance with Government guidance, I shall be checking to see who is accessing the Remote Learning that is being provided and checking in on those who are not.
Have a fantastic Friday and have a wonderful weekend!
